Yancy Weinrich is the Senior Vice President of Reed Exhibition and oversees JCK, LUXURY, JIS, and PGA.

JCK Las Vegas, the jewelry industry’s largest North American trade event, announced dates for the 2019 show, which will take place at the Sands Expo & The Venetian, featuring JCK Las Vegas, Luxury, JIS Exchange, as well as the new Global Gemstone Pavilion.

Event dates are Friday, May 31st through Monday, June 3rd, 2019.

Question #1  –   Is it me, or does it seem kind of poetic that you got your degree from the University of Las Vegas – UNLV and then a few years later you’re organizing the largest jewelry trade show in North America in of all places, Las Vegas?  How did you connect those dots in your career?  Timestamp:  [4:35]

Question #2  –  The JCK Las Vegas Show was originally built over 27 years ago with the industry, for the industry.  Over the years I’ve seen it continue to change, expand, and reinvent itself to become more impactful for those attending. What role does JCK Las Vegas play in your events portfolio which includes not only JCK Las Vegas but also LUXURY at JCK, Swiss Watch at JCK,  and JCK Tucson?  Timestamp:  [5:37]

Question #3  – The big news for JCK Las Vegas has to be the event returning to the Venetian & Sands Expo Convention Center for 2019.  Moving over 2,100 exhibitors is a daunting task to be sure, but that begs the questions of why now and what are the real-world advantages to retailers and vendors?  Timestamp:  [6:36]

Question #4  –  Let’s stay with the event for a moment and talk about how JCK helps buyers and suppliers maintain and even improve margins through what you call “Show Neighborhoods.”  Can you give us some insight into “Show Neighborhoods”, as well as, the new ones you’re planning to offer?  Timestamp:  [7:49]

Question #5  –  One of my personal favorite portions of the show is a feature called, “JCK Talks.”  In fact, we recorded a live episode from “JCK Talks” a few years ago.  What I really enjoyed about the experience was the incredible synergy and the free exchange of information and ideas.  In your view, how important is offering continuing education to the overall JCK Las Vegas experience, and can you also give us a brief rundown of the offerings available?  Timestamp:  [8:54]

Question #6  –  What I enjoy about the show, is that you are continually making the experience more fulfilling and less stressful for those who attend.  One of your latest innovations that I thought was a pure genius is what’s called “JCK Match.”  Can you take a few moments and delve into what “JCK Match” is and how it benefits vendors and retailers?  Timestamp:  [10:19]
